China revises its coronavirus death toll up by 50 percent but the Communist regime is STILL lying about the real number

No doubt American apologists for the Chinese Communist regime applauded Beijing this week for revising upward it’s Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) death toll by 50 percent, but the fact is, the government is continuing to hide the real figure.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Chinese authorities in Wuhan city made the revision, likely to placate a world angered by the spread of the virus, which has killed tens of thousands globally and continues to exact a toll.

The paper noted:

The number of deaths in Wuhan attributed to Covid-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, increased by 1,290 to 3,869, according to a notice from Wuhan health officials published Friday by China’s state-run Xinhua News Agency.

The upward revision also comes after a number of Wuhan residents, as well as U.S. intelligence agencies, have said they believe the ChiComs were purposely undercounting deaths, despite ‘assurances’ from Beijing that the figures were accurate.

Obviously not. And they still aren’t.

According to the Chinese government, the figures were revised upward to include persons who died at their homes and to “correct earlier misreporting from hospitals” that were inundated with patients during the early stages of the pandemic.

The new figure was ostensibly reached after health officials said they double-checked data from medical and other facilities that included prisons, crematoriums and nursing homes in late March.

The new coronavirus death toll in China — ‘officially’ — is 4,632. But again, the city where the outbreak originated is one-third larger than New York City (at around 11 million people), yet we’re supposed to believe that Wuhan only experienced about one-sixth the number of deaths?

That’s utter nonsense. Besides, the healthcare systems in New York are certainly no worse and probably a lot better than they are in China.

We know they’re still lying about the real number of deaths

But the undercounting has gone on for some time — so long, in fact, that Wuhan residents still don’t buy it.

“You can’t not believe it — but you can’t entirely believe it,” Fang Caihong, a 41-year-old volunteer at Wuhan’s Xiehe hospital, where her brother-in-law works, told the WSJ.

She added that it was likely officials in Wuhan were being pressured by the ChiCom central government in Beijing to ramp up numbers and take responsibility for what happened.

Nevertheless, she noted further, “The real death toll should be even higher.”

Others, including Wei Yimei, 19, a skin-care saleswoman, expressed reservations about even going to the epicenter city. “Wuhan is still dangerous,” she told the paper.

Of course, it is. Because the Chinese government has been lying all along.

Natural News reported this in late February:

If you were skeptical from the beginning that Chinese authorities were accurately reporting on the number of Wuhan coronavirus infections since the outbreak began in December, your instincts serve you well.

It turns out they weren’t, and now documents have leaked proving as much.

The Epoch Times added that between Feb. 9 and Feb. 23, authorities in Shandong province massively underreported the number of infections, according to data compiled by the Shandong Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The agency’s day-to-day infection figures, according to the documents, ranged from 1.36 times to 52 times more than the data that was officially published by the Shandong health commission and China’s National Health Commission.

As of February 25, for instance, the provincial government reported that 755 new infections were identified, but the leaked documents showed that 1,992 people had actually tested positive for the virus as of February 23.

So, the Chinese government told Wuhan officials to ramp up the body count by 50 percent. Big deal. We know they’re still lying about the real number of deaths, and their own citizens know it, too.
