Japanese researchers evaluated the mechanism through which royal jelly and Brazilian green propolis are able to serve as traditional medicine for allergy attacks. They found that natural products are able to alleviate allergic rhinitis by preventing the activation of allergy-related genes.
The study received support from Tokushima University. Its results were published in the journal Biological and Pharmaceutical Bulletin.
Based on their findings, the researchers concluded that royal jelly and Brazilian green propolis have potential as alternative means of therapy for allergic rhinitis.
