How to make your own natural tea tree massage oil

One of the oldest healing methods known to mankind is massage therapy. This type of healing technique uses the simple act of touch to ease muscle pain and stress, at the same time keeping the skin young and healthy. It also detoxifies the body. The benefits of massage therapy can be enhanced by incorporating aromatherapy into your homemade massage oils. Tea tree massage oil is one of the most beneficial and common massage oils you can make at home. It is widely known for its antiseptic and anti-fungal properties and can be used to treat various skin conditions. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to make your own tea tree massage oil:

Things you will need:

  • Grapeseed oil
  • Tea tree oil
  • Jasmine oil
  • Neroli essential oils
  • Glass bowl
  • Dark glass bottle
  • Metal or glass utensils

Steps:

  1. Put eight teaspoons of grapeseed oil into a glass bowl. Although you can choose other carrier oils when making a homemade massage oil, grapeseed oil is better because it virtually has no scent and is available in most supermarkets. It is also important to refrain from using plastic and wood utensils when making oils because they are highly absorptive and can contaminate your finished oils. Thus, always use metal and glass utensils instead.
  2. Add five drops of tea tree oil, three drops of jasmine oil, and two drops of neroli essential oils to the bowl.
  3. Mix the ingredients thoroughly.
  4. Gradually pour tea tree massage oil into a dark glass bottle. Make sure to protect your work surface from spills because essential oils can damage delicate surfaces.
  5. Put your tea tree massage oil in a dark and cool place that is out of reach of children.
