Researchers from the Universiti Sains Malaysia in Malaysia have suggested using mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla) seed extract as a potential herbal medicine to treat hypertension. In their study, which was published in the Journal of Medicinal Food, they examined the antihypertensive and vasorelaxant effects of mahogany seed extract using both laboratory testing and clinical trials.
In conclusion, the findings suggested that mahogany seed extract has the potential to be used as an herbal remedy for treating hypertension or high blood pressure.
