Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is prized for its curative and preventive properties. But, did you know that it could also aid in weight loss? Studies show ACV can indeed help you shed the pounds by increasing your levels of satiety.
A 2005 study published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that participants who ate bread with vinegar felt considerably fuller than their counterparts who ate bread alone. Apple cider vinegar has also been shown to stabilize blood glucose levels and prevent post-meal sugar spikes, which can help stop the urge to snack between meals.
Consuming ACV also stimulates your metabolism. ACV contains organic acids and enzymes that encourage your body to burn energy at a faster rate, thus, shedding body fat. ACV can also help regulate insulin secretion, which affects fat storage. Studies suggest apple cider vinegar may even be as effective as some diabetic drugs.
If all those benefits don’t sound good enough yet, here’s one more reason to convince you. ACV is an excellent detoxifier that helps cleanse the body of toxins and free radicals, which makes your body systems more efficient. An efficient body burns energy better, absorbs nutrients better and generally feels healthier.
