Peppermint tea is delicious, there’s no doubt about it. As the holiday season draws near and the air begins to chill, there is nothing better than a warm cup of tea to get you through the wintry weather. But, aside from its refreshing qualities, did you know that peppermint tea has some amazing health benefits, as well?
Peppermint tea is an excellent stress reliever. The menthol present in peppermint relaxes muscles naturally, thereby diminishing overall stress and anxiety.
If you’re feeling under the weather this season, don’t forget about peppermint tea! The menthol in it can also help soothe your nasal passages, throat and chest.
Moreover, it can help bolster your post-holiday weight loss efforts and help keep you from putting on too much weight this season, as well. Since peppermint is a natural appetite suppressant, having a cup before your celebrations could help keep your overindulgence to a minimum. Peppermint is also known to be an excellent digestive aid, so you might want to try a cup after meals, too – especially if you’re prone to stomach upsets.
